"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." These are the words of William Morris (1834-1896). As a leader in England's Arts and Craft Movement, he designed wallpaper and textiles based on medieval works and natural forms. His influence was so far-reaching that some of his wallpapers, in their original colors, are still in production, and many of his fabrics are now being reproduced for today's quilters.
