String Piecing With Your Scraps
Popular with quilters for many decades, string piecing is a way in which you can piece your quilt blocks together. This quilt piecing technique allows you to use your scrap fabrics to create a brand new quilt. This quilt technique is useful for everyday quilting but is especially helpful for using up scrap fabrics or for modern quilting patterns. String foundation piecing allows you to combine various scrap fabrics together without a foundation. While the possibilities are endless, string piecing can also be used to form traditional quilt shapes and blocks like stars and diamonds. You can even string piece applique pieces for easier quilts in minutes.
