Marcus celebrates the growing popularity of wool applique with Flower Box Friends, a new club program designed by Pastthyme Patterns! This 12-month club features a different wool applique flower block each month, divided into two 6-month Seasons. Designer Darci Schipnewski recalls, "My grandmother and my mother both had beautiful flower gardens as I was growing up. When I got my own home, I was going to have beautiful flower gardens as well, however, I don't enjoy the work that it takes to grow and maintain a beautiful flower garden. Therefore, I created a wool flower garden that doesn't produce weeds or need watering and I enjoy it immensely!! Who doesn't enjoy flowers??"

Creative options include the addition of wool penny borders around each block for individual display, or combining blocks as desired, for a variety of end uses including wall hangings, pillows, table toppers, bed runners, bag fronts, mounted or framed pieces, and more. Each flower is referred to as a "Petal". Each Petal measures approximately 8" and can be placed on an optional 12" square background, this background pack is the Penny Kit, 1020807, and is available separately.

Also available separately is the 12" x 14" Scroll Single Stand, 1020808, the Valdani Flower Box Friends Thread Pack (12 colors), 1020809 and single spools of Wonderfil Thread, items 1020810 and 1020811. The variety of flowers (including holiday looks) and the versatility of the blocks will make this a favorite for seasons to come.
