My collection is based on my immediate surroundings. I am lucky to live in a house that looks down towards the sea, with woodlands behind. We get to see the ocean birds with the gulls flying over us but also the woodland birds, like woodpeckers that come to the garden. My studio looks out onto trees, and when I am at my desk it is lovely to take a moment to enjoy the wild birds that come to visit. - Clare Youngs
