This year marks 25 years of FreeSpirit Fabrics, and they're celebrating the best way they know how—with a worldwide Block Party! Quilters everywhere are invited to stitch, share, and celebrate creativity through beautiful quilt blocks inspired by the fabrics and designers we all love.
We're excited to join the celebration!
What Is the FreeSpirit Block Party?
The FreeSpirit 25th Anniversary Block Party is a global quilting event that invites makers to create an unfinished 12½" x 12½" quilt block using any FreeSpirit Fabrics while incorporating the color purple. You can create your own design, use a favorite pattern, or choose from one of FreeSpirit's featured block patterns. Entries are accepted through October 30, 2026.
FreeSpirit will select 25 winning blocks to be sewn into a commemorative anniversary quilt that will be auctioned to benefit Nest, a nonprofit that supports artisans around the world. Selected makers will also receive a special 25th Anniversary prize package.

Simply submit a photo of your finished block using the Keepsake Quilting submission form below. Throughout the celebration, we'll be featuring our favorite entries from the KQ community and selecting lucky participants to receive Keepsake Quilting Gift Cards!
Whether you're stitching your very first block or your tenth, we can't wait to see what you create.
How to Participate
1. Create your 12½" x 12½" unfinished block using FreeSpirit Fabrics and include purple.
2. Submit your block to the official FreeSpirit Block Party.
