The Liberty Island collection, designed by Kellie Beckwith of Tulip Cottage Quilts in collaboration with the Smithsonian for Marcus Fabrics, is a patriotic, 14-piece fabric line released for 2026 to celebrate America's semi quincentennial. Inspired by her own family's history of immigration and military service, Beckwith designed her Liberty Island Sampler Block of the Month quilt with these fabrics.
Each month for 7 months you’ll receive the pattern and the fabrics needed for that section of the quilt. Save your leftovers each month as they may be required in later months. The finished quilt size is 64” x 76.” Separately we’re offering a Liberty Island 14-Piece fat quarter pack which will be great to have on hand in case of any miscuts or to create a coordinating project. Backing is also available separately. Two yards of 108” wide or 4-½ yards of 44” is recommended. Kellie recommends the Studio 180 Tucker Trimmer I and Wing Clipper I and Wing Clipper II tools for this project.
